Can I accept credit cards with just my smartphone?
Yes. Square Tap to Pay allows compatible iPhone and Android smartphones to accept contactless credit cards, debit cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and supported digital wallets. You don’t need to purchase a separate payment terminal or card reader.
Does Square Tap to Pay have monthly fees?
Square Free has no monthly software subscription charge. Standard processing fees apply when you accept payments. The separately offered 4% Cash Discount program may have different pricing terms or monthly charges, which should be reviewed before enrollment.
Can I use Square Tap to Pay on Android and iPhone?
Yes. Square supports Tap to Pay on compatible iPhones and NFC-enabled Android smartphones. Device and operating-system requirements apply. You can check compatibility before signing up.
Can I use Square’s Cash Discount program with Tap to Pay?
Yes. Our available 4% Cash Discount program supports Square Tap to Pay on compatible smartphones. Program terms, customer disclosures, and applicable laws apply.
